Healthcare is personal, as is your data. At Loop, our clinicians and product team take great care in handling your protected health information, and we've taken a number of measures to ensure it is safeguarded.

With which rules and laws are you compliant in regards to data security?
Our product teams and legal counsel work together to ensure we are compliant with all Indian rules and regulations applicable to us as a health insurance provider and insurance broker. This includes:
- The Indian Medical Council (Professional Conduct, Etiquette and Ethics Regulation), 2002
- The Consumer Protection Act, 2019
- Drugs and Cosmetics Act, 1940 and Rules, 1945
- Information Technology Act, 2000
- Information Technology Rules, 2011 (Reasonable Security Practices and Procedures and Sensitive Personal Data or Information)
- IRDA (Insurance Broker) Regulations, 2018
- IRDA Insurance Intermediary Regulations, 2019
How do you keep my data safe?
Encryption: All of your Loop health data is encrypted with 256 bit encryption. Data is encrypted during transit and rest ensuring that only the sender and the authorised receiver can access it.
Two-factor authentication: We have implemented 2-factor authentication to ensure we can doubly verify the identity of the person accessing the information and only give access to the doctor.
Role-based profiles: We have set up different profiles for our staff with different levels of information access. This ensures that only Medical Advisors and Loop Doctors have access to your health records while the rest of the team can only view anonymized operations-level data.
Who can access my health information?
All data created by you or your employer is encrypted and accessible only by you, Loop Medical Advisors, or our product team for service improvement. No one else can access to this data as it is completely encrypted and only accessible via your login details.
Does Loop share my health information with my employer or insurance company?
No. We will never share your identifiable patient or health data with your employer or insurance company. As made clear in our Privacy Policy, the data you share with us that we use and store is only used to deliver clinical services.
What communications will I receive from Loop Health?
You may receive an introduction call from your dedicated Medical Advisor. We share with you emails and app-notifications relating to clinical services you've availed such as appointment booking reminders, prescriptions, or lab test results. Lastly, we share health-related content like webinar invitations and health articles.
