When Lodha first partnered with Loop, insurance broking was not part of the conversation.
They already had a broker and a policy in place. What they wanted was something most companies in real estate rarely pull off: benefits that employees could use and not just read about in policy documents.
So Loop came on board, not to overhaul their insurance experience, but to bring everyday healthcare within reach for thousands of Lodha employees spread across the country.
Building Awareness on the Ground
In real estate, teams aren’t confined to desks or a single office. At Lodha, employees are spread across construction sites, sales offices, regional hubs, and headquarters. Reaching them all with a single health benefits rollout wasn’t realistic.
The Loop app made it easier to centralize healthcare access by offering doctor consults, medical advisor chats, and wellness tools in one place. But access alone wasn’t enough. To make healthcare truly usable, we had to ensure every employee knew what was available and how to make the most of it.
What we brought to the table for Lodha:

We partnered closely with Lodha’s HR team to drive awareness and usage. Together, we identified where employees were based and rolled out a full-scale onboarding plan.
In a span of 2 weeks, Loop hosted 75+ onboarding sessions across India. From under-construction buildings to top-floor offices, we met teams where they were. And it worked. Employees downloaded the app and used it.
With a healthcare app that Lodha’s team knew how to use and structured wellness sessions to care for their overall well-being, Loop became a well-known name amongst the employees.

Digital Transformation of Lodha’s Insurance experience
Even as employees used Loop for health needs, there was a parallel system they were finding unreliable: insurance.
In real estate, especially in India, insurance is almost always manually run. Real estate employers also often opt for self-funded (employee-sponsored) insurance, which makes it more critical that
- New joiners need on-time access to policy and coverage
- All claims are processed on time, and employees are updated about their claim status
Challenges
Managing health benefits across a distributed workforce came with several roadblocks, making it hard to ensure a smooth experience for both HR and employees.
Uploading employee data was slow and stressful: HR had to upload employee’s information one by one, which took a lot of time, slowed down onboarding, and made it harder for employees to start using their health benefits.
Delays in policy access: Sometimes employees didn’t get their policy details or cards on time, which led to confusion and more questions for the HR team to handle.
Disjointed claims flow: Claims had to go through several people — HR, TPA, insurer, broker — which made the process slower and harder to track for both HR and employees.
Benefits coordination was bottlenecked: The HR was the single point of contact handling all things related to health benefits, which made it tough to keep up — especially during busy periods.
All of this resulted in a set of employees who were confused, frustrated, and an HR team that spent a lot of time on menial tasks that tech could ease.
Bringing Insurance into the Loop
The fix to the insurance troubles wasn’t to introduce a new system, but to plug an existing system with upgrades that mattered.
In the case of Lodha, their employees were already familiar with the healthcare benefits available to them on the app; all that was left to do was to include insurance and claims handling in their pre-existing ecosystem.

When it was time to upgrade the benefits with Loop, we extended our partnership to offer insurance and claims benefits, the HR Dashboard and a benchmarking support to help Lodha design smarter, more competitive benefits.
